The 7 Chakras Menu

The Pelvic Chakra: The Second Chakra

Your Pelvic Chakra is located between your pelvic bones, resting directly below your navel. Also commonly referred to as the Second Chakra, the Sacral Chakra rules over your search for enjoyment and pleasure throughout life. Similarly, this Chakra empowers you to let go of things that are troubling you, and encourages growth in all areas of your life.

Sacral Chakra Meditation | Orange Chakra Meditation

“I enjoy life fully” Is the name of the game with this Chakra. In meditation, our goal is to walk away feeling free and boundless. When your Pelvic Chakra is at peace you will be able to connect with others with greater intimacy and freedom, unburdened by guilt and self-doubt.

As you breathe, imagine your most joyful moment. What is keeping you from this feeling at all times? Calmly look around and imagine that each reason is a chain draped over your body. Acknowledge each chain and in turn, and remove it as simply as brushing away a stray hair. Remember that fear and guilt are formed only within your own mind; therefore, limitations that are borne of self-doubt only have as much power as you allow them. Release these fears, one by one, and rejoice in your new freedom.

2nd Chakra Blockage & Pelvic Chakra Imbalances

All major Chakras have a physical and emotional counterpart. Blockages within your Pelvic Chakra can manifest as emotional outbursts or over-attachments. Conversely, physical symptoms can manifest as pelvic or muscle cramps, bladder infections and even hip or abdominal pain.

Imbalances in your Pelvic Chakra can be diagnosed by things such as a low libido or irregular menstrual cycles. Lack of creativity, depression or pessimism are also signs of an imbalanced sacral chakra. Tendencies to lean towards codependent relationships is another sign of an under-powered 2nd Chakra.

Second Chakra Healing | Sacral Chakra Healing & Sacral Chakra Stones

Disclaimer: If you are experiencing physical or emotional symptoms of what you believe to be a Sacral Chakra Imbalance, I strongly suggest that you first seek professional medical or psychological help before attempting to heal yourself with stones, crystals or any other type of homeopathic remedy.

A common way to clear blockages or heal chakras involve the use of stones and crystals. The most common types of stones to use as focuses for the Pelvic Chakra include: Citrine, Orange Carnelian, or Orange Aventurine. Stones can be placed upon the body or held to aid during meditation. It is also believed that wearing these stones as jewelry will assist in balancing overactive chakras. Other common practices include focusing excess energy into the stone as a method of purification.
